As part of our ongoing efforts to provide you with a healthy and comfortable ride, in 2022 the Refresh & Renew (R&R) program is planning more than $3.5 million in a variety improvements. This includes more extensive repairs and upgrades at 28 stations, and painting and/or lighting improvements planned for 92 additional stations.
Through the end of 2022, our R&R crews will be making repairs at various rail stations around the city to provide you with a more welcoming transit travel experience
The scope of work being performed will vary by location, but can include:
- Deep clean power washing of all surfaces (all locations)
- Painting (all locations)
- Lighting upgrades
- Improved platform amenities
- Renewal of finishes and fixtures
- Utility and plumbing line repairs
- Removal of outdated fixtures and equipment
- Permanent repair work
- Updating of old/damaged signage
- And more!
Many of you have already seen the results of this program. As the City was beginning to re-open last year and to help welcome back new and returning riders, we accelerated and expanded this cyclical maintenance program, resulting in our crews making improvements to nearly 90% of our rail stations last year touching 127 rail stations, of which 35 received more extensive work.
