Pink Line Trains Unable to Enter the Loop Saturday Evening

June 3, 2010
Pink Line trains will be unable to enter the Loop from 9 p.m. Saturday, June 5 until end of service (approximately 1:30 a.m.), due to structural maintenance work on the Lake Street Bridge.

During this time, Green Line trains will be able to serve the Loop; however, a single track will be in effect for westbound (outbound) trains between the Ashland and Clark/Lake stations. Westbound (outbound) customers at the Ashland and Clinton stations must board and exit Green Line trains from the eastbound (inbound) platform.

Pink Line trains will operate normally between the 54th/Cermak and Ashland stations.

Eastbound (inbound) Pink Line customers traveling to the Loop must exit at the Ashland station and transfer to the other platform to board an eastbound (inbound) Green Line train.

Customers can use Orange and Brown line trains to travel between Clark/Lake and other Loop stations.

A shuttle train also will operate around the Loop, clockwise via the Inner Loop (Pink Line) tracks.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. Operators will announce the route and direction of each train.
