Intermittent Reroutes for Loop Buses Due to the May Day March

In anticipation of large crowds participating in the May Day March on Friday, May 1, the CTA expects that Loop bus routes traveling in the vicinity of the procession may be impacted with intermittent delays or reroutes. The rally will step-off at 11 a.m. from Union Park at the intersection of Washington/Ashland and will disband at the Dirksen Federal Plaza on Dearborn at Jackson. The following routes are expected to be detoured to adjacent streets:

CTA will have extra personnel available on the system as needed to assist customers with rolling reroutes as the parade makes its way through the LoopCTA is advising customers to allow extra travel time. To speed travel, customers are encouraged to buy farecards in advance with sufficient value or to add enough value to their existing farecards (either the Chicago Card or magnetic strip farecard) for their return trips later in the day.
 
Estimated arrival times for buses that are temporarily rerouted will not be available via the Bus Tracker web site.
