CTA's #124 Navy Pier Express buses will serve Navy Pier for the visit of the Tall Ships throughout the Labor Day weekend. Service will also be provided by the four bus routes that regularly operate to Navy Pier; the #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #65 Grand and #66 Chicago.
#124 Navy Pier Express buses operate from Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) directly to Navy Pier on Friday evenings and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from May through Labor Day, and for special events at the pier at other times.
From Friday, September 1, through Monday, September 4, #124 buses will start their trips from the Metra stations at 10 a.m. daily, and continue every 7 to 15 minutes until Navy Pier closes for the evening at midnight Friday and Saturday, and at 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
#124 Navy Pier Express buses stop for Union Station northbound on Canal at Adams. They then serve Ogilvie Center from stops on Canal at both Madison and Washington before running express directly to Navy Pier. Regular CTA fares apply.
#29 State buses operate to Navy Pier northbound on State, making all regular stops through the Loop to Illinois, where connections can be made from the Red Line station at Grand. #65 Grand buses serve Navy Pier via Grand, Wells and Illinois, and stop for customers from Blue Line trains at Grand/Halsted.
#56 Milwaukee buses operate through the downtown area on Washington, and go north on State, making connections with any bus or 'L' line. #66 Chicago buses stop on Chicago at Franklin for connections with Brown Line trains, and at Michigan Avenue for customers transferring from other bus lines or boarding across from the Water Tower.
