Longer Trains and Additional Bus Service for Rolling Stones Concerts Friday and Monday Nights The Rolling Stones will perform at 8:00 p.m. at Comiskey Park on Friday, September 13. Additional bus service will be provided on the #35 35th route. Starting at 6:00 p.m., buses are scheduled to arrive every five to eight minutes until the concert begins. Buses will depart the concert every few minutes until one hour after the concert ends.
Monday's concert at the Aragon Entertainment Center, 1106 West Lawrence, will also begin at 8:00 p.m. Longer Red Line trains will serve both concerts and additional Customer Assistants will be available to help customers.
Crane Work Closes Fairbanks between Ontario and Erie Saturday Fairbanks will be closed Saturday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to allow for crane work at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Southbound #3 King Drive and # 66 Chicago buses will be rerouted via Fairbanks, Huron, St. Clair and Ohio. Northbound reroute will be via Fairbanks, Ontario, St. Clair and Erie.
Crane Lifting Closes Dearborn Saturday Night A crane lifting materials at 180 South Dearborn will close Dearborn to all traffic between Adams and Monroe from 9:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14 until 9:00 a.m. Sunday, September 15. Affected bus routes are #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer. The stop at Adams/Dearborn is the only stop affected. Buses will be rerouted via Dearborn, Adams, LaSalle, Monroe and back to Dearborn.
Track Maintenance Affects Purple Line Sunday A single track will be in effect on the Purple Line southbound between Linden and Central Sunday, September 15 from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Crews will be replacing ties on the bridge at Central Avenue.
Structure Maintenance Affects Brown Line Sunday A single track will be in effect on the southbound tracks of the Brown Line between Albany and Western on Sunday, September 15 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Race for the Cure Closes Balbo and Columbus Drive Sunday The Race for the Cure foot race will close Balbo between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive on Sunday, September 15 from 4:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Additionally, Columbus Drive will be closed between Balbo and Roosevelt Road from4:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The race will start at 8:30 a.m. and proceed south on Columbus to Roosevelt, west to Indiana, south to 18th Street, east to Calumet, south to 21st Street, west to Michigan Avenue, north to Balbo and east to finish at Columbus. #3 King Drive buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, State, Balbo and Michigan back to the regular route. #4 Cottage Grove buses will detour both directions via Indiana, 31st, Michigan, Cermak, State, Balbo, Michigan and back to the regular route. #6 Jeffery Express buses will travel both directions via Lake Shore Drive, 31st, State, Balbo, Michigan to the regular route. #10 Museum of Science and Industry buses will operate their regular route to Michigan/Balbo then detour via State, 31st, Lake Shore Drive, and back to the regular route. #12 Roosevelt buses will operate via State, 11th, Wabash, Roosevelt to the regular route. Eastbound #18 16th/18th buses will operate via State, 16th, Wabash, 18th to the regular route. Westbound #18 buses will detour via Wabash to 18th to the regular route. Southbound #146 Maine/Michigan Express buses will operate via Michigan, Balbo, State, 31st, Lake Shore Drive, McFetridge to the regular route. Northbound buses will travel via McFetridge, Lake Shore Drive, 31st, State, Congress to the regular route.
United Merchants of Pilsen Mexican Independence Parade Closes 18th Street Sunday 18th Street will be closed between Newberry and Wolcott from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. #18 16th/18th buses will operate in both directions via 18th, Western, Cermak, Halsted, 18th to the regular route.
Little Village-26th Street Chamber of Commerce Mexican Parade Closes 26th Street Sunday The parade will close 26th between California and Kostner from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m. #52 Kedzie/California buses will begin their regular route to Kedzie Cermak then detour via Western, 35th, California, 36th Place, Kedzie to the regular route. Southbound #53 Pulaski buses will operate to Pulaski/Cermak then travel via Cermak to Karlov, make a ?U? turn into East Cermak. Northbound buses will operate east on Cermak, north on Pulaski, returning to the regular route. #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate in both directions via Blue Island/Western, Cermak, Cicero, 24th Street Terminal. Southbound #82 Kimball-Homan buses will operate over the regular route to Central Park/Ogden, via Ogden to Cermak. Northbound buses will travel via Cermak to Central Park and return to the regular route. #94 South California buses will detour via California, Cermak, Western, 35th, California and return to the regular route.
South Chicago Chamber of Commerce Mexican Independence Day Parade Closes Commercial Avenue Sunday Commercial will be closed between 84th and 100th Streets. 91st Street between Exchange and Commercial will also be closed. Closures will be in effect from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Eastbound #87 87th buses will detour from 87th/South Chicago via South Chicago, 92nd, Exchange to 91st. Westbound buses will travel via Exchange, 91st, South Chicago, 87th and return to regular route. Both directions of the #27 South Deering bus route will operate via Torrence, 100th, Torrence/Colfax, 93rd, South Chicago, 83rd, South Shore Drive and return to regular route. Northbound #30 South Chicago buses will travel via Mackinaw, 92nd, Baltimore, 91st, Houston and back to 92nd. Southbound buses will operate via Houston, 92nd and return to the regular route. Eastbound #95E 93rd/95th buses will via 93rd, Exchange and 91st. Westbound buses will run via Exchange, 91st, South Chicago, 93rd and return to the regular route.
