Construction Closes California at Diversey Friday and Saturday Metra viaduct construction just north of the Kennedy Expressway will close California Avenue between Diversey and Wellington from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8. #52 Kedzie/California buses will be detoured via Diversey, Kedzie, Belmont and California in both directions.
Construction Closes Madison from Michigan to Wabash Over the WeekendConstruction work will close Madison from Michigan to Wabash from 7 p.m. Friday, February 7 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 9, and during the same hours over the next two weekends. #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee and #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate west from Michigan on Randolph, go south on State, and stop for customers connecting from the 'L' at Wabash and the subway on State before turning west on Madison and continuing over their regular routes.
Construction Closes Kedzie from 19th to 21st Saturday and SundayConstruction on the Cermak (Douglas) Branch of the Blue Line will close Kedzie between 19th and 21st from 7 a.m. Saturday, February 8 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 9. #52 Kedzie/California buses will be detoured via Ogden, Sacramento, Marshall, Cermak and Kedzie in both directions.
Equipment Lift Closes Michigan at Jackson Sunday Morning February 9 The lift of equipment to an office building will close Michigan to all traffic between Jackson and Congress from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday, February 9. #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove and #6 Jeffery Express buses will be detoured northbound via Congress, Columbus and Jackson to Michigan. #3 and #4 buses will make the same detour off Michigan southbound. #126 Jackson buses will operate east via Jackson, State and Congress to Michigan. Westbound buses will use Congress, Columbus, Jackson and Michigan back to the regular route.
Structural Work Affects Brown Line Service Sunday, February 9Structural work will require Brown Line trains in both directions to use a single track while serving the stations at Damen, Montrose and Irving Park Sunday, February 9 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. During this period, trains will operate every 15 minutes instead of 10 minutes apart along the entire line.
