Fiesta del Sol Celebration Detours Buses Off Cermak All WeekendBuses will be detoured off Cermak between Morgan and Loomis for the annual Fiesta del Sol Celebration from Thursday, July 26, through Sunday, July 29. Cermak will remain closed until about noon Monday, July 30, detouring #21 Cermak and (on weekends) X21 Cermak Express buses. Eastbound buses will operate via Cermak, Throop, 18th, and Morgan back to Cermak. Westbound buses will make the same detour in reverse.
Weekend Blue Line 'L' Construction Detours Buses Off RooseveltRoosevelt will be closed at Paulina from 7 p.m. Friday, July 27, until early Monday, July 30, for structural work on the Cermak (Douglas) branch Blue Line at Paulina. 'L' columns and spans are being rebuilt in connection with the reconfiguration of Roosevelt. During this period, #12 Roosevelt buses will be detoured via Ashland, Taylor and Damen back to Roosevelt in both directions.
'L' Work Detours Buses Off Western at Milwaukee July 27- 28Structural work at the Western station on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line will detour #49 Western buses from 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, through 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28. Buses will operate off Western via North, California and Armitage to Western in both directions.
Wicker Park Festival Detours Buses Off Damen at North July 28-29Buses on the #50 Damen route will be detoured off Damen between North and Armitage Saturday and Sunday, July 28-29 for the Wicker Park festival. Buses will operate via Milwaukee, Western, and Armitage to Damen in both directions.
Bridge Work Detours Buses Off Washington and Adams Sunday, July 29Bridge construction will detour two bus routes off Washington between Canal and Wacker Sunday, July 29, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. During this period, eastbound #20 Madison and #56 Milwaukee buses will turn north from Washington on Canal, go east on Lake to Wacker and south on Wacker back to the regular route at Washington. The bridge at Adams will be closed from 6 p.m. Sunday until the work is completed around 6 a.m. Monday, July 30. #60 Blue Island/26th and #151 Sheridan buses will turn south from Adams at Wacker and go west on Van Buren. #60 buses will continue west to Clinton and go south over the regular route. #151 buses will turn north on Canal and end their trips at Jackson before starting new trips eastbound on Jackson.
