EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE DURING THE WEEK OF JULY 23-27

Orange Line Trains Detoured To Outer Loop Tracks After 8 p.m. July 23-27Canopy work over the inner Loop 'L' tracks at Randolph/Wells will require Orange Line trains to operate around the outer Loop tracks from 8 p.m. until service ends around midnight Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27. During this time, Orange Line trains will make their first Loop stop northbound at Adams/Wabash. They will then stop at all station platforms opposite the ones they usually serve as they proceed north on Wabash, west on Lake, south on Wells and east on Van Buren back to Wabash for trips south to Midway.

Overnight Track Work Affects Forest Park Branch of Blue Line July 23-26A tie replacement project will require trains to use a single track while serving the Austin station on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday, July 23, through early Thursday, July 26.

Bridge Work Detours Buses Off California at 33rd Nightly July 23-26 Bridge construction over the Sanitary and Ship Canal at 33rd will detour #94 South California buses off California from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. nightly from Monday, July 23 through early Thursday, July 26. Northbound #94 buses will turn east from California at 35th, go north on Western, and return to California via 31st. Southbound buses will make the same detour in reverse.

Late Night Track Work Affects Red Line North of Granville July 24-27Track work will require Red Line trains northbound from Granville to bypass stations at Loyola, Morse and Jarvis from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 24 through early Friday, July 27. Customers intending to ride north from these stations should take a southbound train to Granville and change to a northbound train. Customers intending to exit northbound trains at these stations should ride to Howard and change to a southbound train.

Fiesta Del Sol Celebration Detours Buses Off Cermak July 25-30Cermak will be closed between Morgan and Loomis for the annual Fiesta del Sol Celebration from 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, until about noon Monday, July 30, detouring #21 Cermak and (on weekends) X21 Cermak Express buses. During this period, eastbound buses will go north from Cermak via Throop to 18th, east on 18th to Morgan, and south on Morgan back to Cermak. Westbound buses will make the same detour in reverse.
