Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning Weekend of February 8-10

Station Improvements at Wilson to Affect Red Line Service This Weekend
Due to construction work to replace the stairway enclosure at the Wilson Red Line station, the auxiliary entrance/exit will be closed from 10:15 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m., Monday, February 11.

Red Line trains serving the station will be rerouted around the work during different hours each day, please see separate release for boarding details during specific hours.

Southbound Red Line Trains Temporarily Reroute at Wilson Station Next Week
From 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 13 until 4 a.m. Thursday, February 14 and again from 9 p.m. Thursday until 4 a.m., Friday, February 15, southbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to operate on the Purple Express tracks. Southbound Red Line trains will stop at the Purple Line platform at Wilson station and the Purple Line side of the platform at Sheridan.

During this time, northbound Red Line trains will be unable to stop at the Wilson station. Northbound customers who wish to exit at the Wilson station must travel one stop north to Lawrence and board a southbound train back to Wilson.

Customers at Wilson who wish to travel northbound must board a southbound train and travel one stop south to Sheridan to board a northbound train.

In addition, during this time the auxiliary entrance at the Wilson station will be closed. Customers can access the station through the main entrance on Broadway.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Single Track in Effect on Red Line
A single track will be in effect between the Grand and Roosevelt stations on the Red Line from midnight Friday, February 8 until 4 a.m. Saturday, February 9.

Southbound customers at the Lake, Monroe, Jackson, Harrison and Roosevelt stations must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Next Week
From midnight each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, February 11 through Saturday morning, February 16, a single track will be in effect between the Roosevelt and Grand stations on the Red Line.

Northbound Red Line customers at the Roosevelt, Harrison, Jackson, Monroe and Lake stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Northbound Red Line Trains Temporarily Reroute at Sheridan
Northbound Red Line trains at Sheridan will operate on the northbound Purple Express tracks from 10:50 a.m. until
2 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday, February 12 through Friday, February 15.

During these times, northbound customers at Sheridan will board and exit trains on the Purple Express side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Daytime Single Tracks in Effect on Brown Line This Weekend
A single track will be in effect between the Brown Line's Sedgwick and Chicago stations from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.

Southbound customers at the Sedgwick and Chicago stations must board and exit trains on the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Sunday
A two-phase single track will be in effect between the Chicago and Sedgwick stations from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 10.

From 6:30 a.m. until noon, northbound customers at the Chicago and Sedgwick stations must board and exit trains on the southbound platform.

From 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. southbound customers at the Chicago and Sedgwick stations must board and exit trains on the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Blue Line
A single track will be in effect between the Western and California stations on the Blue Line from 11 p.m. Friday, February 8 until 4 a.m. Saturday, February 9.

Northbound customers at the California station must board and exit trains on the southbound platform.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on O'Hare Branch of Blue Line Next WeekFrom 10 p.m. Monday, February 11 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, a single track will be in effect between the Western and Damen stations.

Southbound customers must board and exit trains on the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Late Night Single Track in Effect Between Blue Line's Harlem and Jefferson Park Stations Next Week
From 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 12 until 4 a.m. Wednesday, February 13,
a single track will be in effect between the Harlem and Jefferson Park stations.

Southbound customers at the Jefferson Park station must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

Daytime Single Tracks in Effect on Blue Line This Weekend
A single track will be in effect between the Grand and Damen stations on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9.

Southbound customers at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Next Week
From 11 p.m. Thursday, February 14 until 4 a.m. Friday, February 15, a single track will be in effect between the Damen and Grand stations on the Blue Line.

Northbound customers at the Grand, Chicago and Division stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Single Track in Effect Between Blue Line's Grand and LaSalle Stations on Sunday
A single track will be in effect between the Grand and LaSalle stations on the Blue Line from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, February 10.

Southbound customers at the Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe and Jackson stations must board and exit Blue Line trains on the northbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

CTA Provides Service to Auto Show
CTA bus routes provide convenient service to the 2008 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place North and South beginning Friday, February 8 through Sunday, February 17. Bus service is available during all hours the show is open.

Two regular CTA bus routes ? the #3 King Drive and #21 Cermak ? provide direct service to McCormick Place. #3 buses serve McCormick Place from North Michigan Avenue and the South Side every seven to 15 minutes. #21 buses serve the West Side, operating to McCormick Place from North Riverside Park Mall every 10 to 15 minutes, and 20 minutes later on weekday evenings and Sunday evenings. Red Line customers can transfer to #21 buses at the Cermak-Chinatown station.

Buses Reroute for Chinese New Year Parade
From 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 10, #18 ? 16th/18th and #21 Cermak buses will be rerouted due to the Chinese New Year Parade on Wentworth.

Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route to Archer then will operate via Archer to Cermak and resume the regular route. Westbound buses are not affected.

#19 United Center Express Serves Bulls Games
CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses for the following dates and times:

Buses will leave every 12 minutes from Michigan and Superior starting two hours before game time until 30 minutes before the game begins. When the game ends, #19 buses will depart the United Center approximately every 15 minutes for one hour.

#19 buses will make all stops on Michigan from Superior to Washington, and on Madison from Wabash to Clinton. From Clinton, #19 buses run express to the United Center.

After the game, #19 buses will await customers on the north side of the United Center eastbound on Madison near Gate 3. On the return trip, #19 buses operate through downtown east on Washington to Wacker, then head south to Monroe and east to Michigan, making all stops from Jefferson to Michigan before turning north on Michigan and making all stops from Randolph to Chicago.

Buses Reroute on Weekends for Block 37 Construction
Dearborn between Washington and Randolph will undergo weekend closures due to construction from 9 p.m. each day until 6 a.m. the following morning on the three weekends in February.

Northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will travel over the regular route to Monroe then will operate via Monroe, State, Wacker then return to Dearborn and resume their regular routes.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Bus Stop Temporarily Relocated
The northbound near side bus stop on Halsted at 28th Street has been relocated to a far side bus stop until Tuesday, February 26.

Buses Reroute on Damen
Damen is closed until Tuesday, February 26 for sewer work between Warren and Fulton.

Northbound #50 Damen buses will travel over the regular route to Warren then will operate via Warren, Wood, Fulton then return to Damen and resume the regular route.

Southbound buses will travel over the regular route to Fulton then will operate via Fulton, Wood, Washington then return to Damen and resume the regular route.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Buses Continue to Reroute for Construction
51st Street between Lowe and Shields continues to be closed for pavement repairs through 3 p.m. Monday, February 25.

Eastbound #51 51st Street buses will travel over the regular route to Halsted then will operate via Halsted, 47th, Wells, 51st, Wentworth then return to 47th and resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via 47th, Halsted to 51st and resume the regular route.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

#70 Division
Westbound #70 Division buses continue to undergo reroutes until Friday, March 21 due to street repairs at Division and Kolmar.

Buses will travel over the regular route to Kostner then will operate via Kostner, Augusta, Cicero then return to Division and resume the regular route.

Dorchester Remains Closed for Construction
Dorchester continues to be closed between 60th and 61st streets through 3 p.m. Monday, February 11.

Eastbound #59 59th/61st buses will travel over the regular route to 61st then will operate via Cottage Grove, 60th, Dorchester, Midway Plaisance, Stony Island to 60th. Westbound buses will operate via 60th, Dorchester, Cottage Grove then return to 61st and resume the regular route.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
