EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 11 - 13

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line over the WeekendDue to the rehabilitation of the Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line, single track service will be in effect northbound between 69th and 63rd Streets from 8 p.m. Friday, March 11 until 8 a.m. Saturday, March 12. Single track service also will be in effect southbound between 23rd and 33rd Streets from 8 p.m. Saturday, March 12 until noon Sunday, March 13. Customers should allow extra travel time.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Monday through Next ThursdaySingle track service will be in effect northbound between 94th and 87th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, March 14 and southbound during the same hours in the same location Tuesday night, March 15. Single track service also will be in effect from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. northbound between 79th and 69th Streets Wednesday night, March 16 and southbound in the same location Thursday night, March 17. Customers should allow extra travel time.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on O'Hare Branch of the Blue Line for Subway Sewer Cleaning Friday and SaturdaySingle track service will be in effect northbound between Grand and Damen from 9 p.m. Friday, March 11 until 6 a.m. Saturday, March 12 and again in the same location from 9 p.m. Saturday, March 12 until 6 a.m. Sunday, March 13. Customers should allow extra travel time.

CTA Provides Service on #19 United Center Express Route for Big Ten Men's Basketball CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses to the United Center for the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament through Sunday, March 13.

Game times vary and include morning, afternoon and evening sessions. #19 buses will serve each session, operating approximately every 12 minutes beginning two hours before the start of each game and continuing until an hour after the end of the last game in each session.

CTA Provides Convenient Service to Flower and Garden Show at Navy PierCTA buses provide convenient service to Navy Pier for the annual Chicago Flower and Garden Show in Festival Hall Saturday, March 12 through Sunday, March 20. Show hours are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Buses on the #29 State, #65 Grand, #66 Chicago and #124 Navy Pier routes serve Navy Pier daily. Additionally, #2 Hyde Park Express buses serve Navy Pier during weekday morning and afternoon rush periods.

St. Patrick's Day Parade will Detour Downtown Bus Routes SaturdayThe St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Columbus Drive Saturday, March 12. The parade steps off at noon proceeding north on Columbus from Balbo to Monroe.

#6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses that ordinarily operate via Columbus and Balbo will be rerouted in both directions to operate via Roosevelt and Michigan during the parade.

Additional Customer Assistants will be available at downtown rail stations to assist customers traveling to the parade.

Additional Bus Service Provided for Southside Irish Parade SundayThe Southside Irish Parade will take place on Western Avenue Sunday, March 13. The parade steps off at noon proceeding south on Western from 103rd to 115th. Additional service will be scheduled from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the #95 W West 95th and #112 Vincennes/111th bus routes as crowds warrant.

Additionally, #103 West 103rd buses will detour around the parade in both directions via Longwood, 99th, Kedzie, back to 103rd, then resume the regular route. #112 buses will operate in both directions via Longwood, 119th, Kedzie, back to 111th, then resume the regular route.

69th Street Closes for CSX Railroad Viaduct Repairs Beginning Monday69th Street will be closed between Hamilton and Bell from 6 a.m. Monday, March 14 through Friday, April 15. #67 67th/69th/71st buses will operate in both directions via 69th, Damen, Marquette, Western, to 71st, then resume the regular route.

Berwyn Avenue Closes for Water Main Work Beginning TuesdayBerwyn will be closed between Kenmore and Sheridan from 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 15 until 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17. Westbound #92 Foster buses will operate via Berwyn, Winthrop, to Foster, then resume the regular route. Eastbound service will not be affected.

Southbound #144 Marine/Michigan Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will operate via Berwyn, Winthrop, Foster, to Sheridan, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.

Bridge Repairs and Testing for the Upcoming Boating Season Continue Next WeekThe Roosevelt bridge will be closed from 12:01 a.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, March 17. The closure will affect buses on the #12 Roosevelt and #N62 Archer (owl service) routes.

Jackson Closed for Sewer Installation Jackson is closed between California and Western through late March. Eastbound #126 Jackson buses are operating via Jackson, California, Congress, Western, back to Jackson, then resuming the regular route. Westbound buses are operating via Jackson, Western, Van Buren, California, back to Jackson, then resuming the regular route.
