Three Rail Lines and Five Bus Routes are Affected by Street Closures.

Due to serious structural problems on a building at Randolph/Wells, the CTA has been forced to suspend elevated train service along Wells Street and to reroute buses around the intersection of Randolph and Wells.

CTA stations at Washington/Wells, Quincy/Wells, LaSalle/Van Buren and Library-State/Van Buren will remain closed until this safety issue is resolved. Until service to these stations can be restored, Brown and Orange Line trains will make stops only at stations on the Lake and Wabash sides of the Loop ?L." Elevators are available at Merchandise Mart, Clark/Lake, and Roosevelt.

The following rail service changes will be in effect:

Brown Line
Trains arriving southbound at the Merchandise Mart will proceed across the Chicago River, turn east at Lake and south on Wabash, following the Orange Line route through the Loop and south all the way to Midway Airport.

Orange Line
Trains from Midway arriving in the Loop will travel north on Wabash past Van Buren, stopping at all stations on Wabash and Lake west to Clark/Lake. From there they will follow the Brown Line route to Kimball.
