CTA to Provide Extra Service for Major League Soccer All-Star Game

Soccer fans encouraged to purchase unlimited ride passes, fares in advance

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will provide additional bus and rail service for the Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star game being held Wednesday, August 2 at Soldier Field.

Bus Scheduling

  • #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express: Extra service until about one hour after event end.
  • #130 Museum Campus: Extra service before game as well as for about one hour after event ends.

Rail Scheduling

  • Orange Lines: Longer trains running from 7 pm until midnight.


Buy your unlimited ride passes and fares in advance!
The CTA encourages riders to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and purchase fares in advance to avoid long lines at rail station vending machines. Customers can add  unlimited ride passes (1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 30-day) or add money to pay per-ride to their Ventra cards ahead of time via the free Ventra app, at rail station vending machines, online or at nearly 1,300 local retailers (for locations visit ventrachicago.com or the Ventra app). Customers can also purchase from Ventra fare machines 1-day unlimited ride tickets ($10) or single-ride tickets ($3) that include up to two transfers in two hours. Customers can also pay their fares with their personal contactless debit or credit cards.
