The Chicago Transit Authority will provide additional service on the #12 Roosevelt, #128 Soldier Field Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express routes for the New Orleans Saints versus the Chicago Bears game Thursday, December 11 at Soldier Field. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
#12 Roosevelt will operate additional buses between State Street and Soldier Field.
#128 Soldier Field Express will operate between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Soldier Field for the convenience of Bears fans. Service will operate from 5:05 p.m. (from Union station) and 5:25 p.m. (from Ogilvie station) until 7:35 p.m. After the game, buses will leave Soldier Field every few minutes for one hour.
The special fare for #128 buses is $1 for full-fare customers and 50 cents for reduced-fare customers. The exact cash fare is required to receive the special rate.
#146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express will operate additional buses to Soldier Field every few minutes for two hours before games start.
Customers can also travel to Soldier Field via Red, Orange or Green line trains at Roosevelt. The station is located at Roosevelt and State, a few blocks west of the stadium. CTA will provide additional Customer Assistants at the Roosevelt Green and Orange Line elevated stations to assist fans.
As a result of the Bears game, #6 Jackson Park Express, #14 Jeffery Express and southbound #3 King Drive buses will be temporarily rerouted beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Southbound #6 and #14 buses will travel along Michigan to Cermak then will operate via Cermak, King Drive, 31st to Lake Shore Drive and then resume the regular route. Northbound buses will travel the reverse route.
Southbound #3 buses will travel along Michigan to 14th then will operate via 14th to Indiana and then resume the regular route.
Note: The additional service on the #12 Roosevelt and the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and the special service on the #128 Soldier Field Express to accommodate customers traveling to and from Soldier Field will not be visible via the CTA’s electronic Bus Tracker system. At this time only regularly scheduled service for routes active on Bus Tracker is available on the web site.
