CTA to offer Free Rides to students Friday, April 1

March 31, 2016

On Friday, April 1, 2016, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will offer free rides to Chicago Public Schools students between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The free rides on CTA buses and trains are intended to accommodate students traveling to and from the 250 CPS contingency site locations, including designated public schools, parks and libraries.

To receive free rides, students should show their CPS ID card, reduced fare card, or other identification, and CTA bus operators or customer assistants will validate age. The free rides hours match the hours CPS students normally receive reduced-fare rides. Information on CTA routes and schedules is available at transitchicago.com.

More information is available at www.cps.edu.
