CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY EVENTS STARTING THE WEEKEND OF JULY 13 - 15

Red Line Provides Service to Cubs-Sox Games at Wrigley Field July 12-14Red Line trains will provide frequent, reliable service to Wrigley Field for all three games between the Cubs and the White Sox. Thursday's contest starts at 1:20 p.m.; Friday's at 2:20 p.m., and Saturday's at 12:15 p.m. During the games, the Addison station, just beyond the right field stands of Wrigley Field, will be served every 8 to 10 minutes by Red Line trains, which operate through the State Street subway downtown, and connect with all other 'L' lines on the CTA system. Wrigley Field is also served by #22 Clark and #152 Addison buses.

Eastbound Buses Detoured off Armitage at Cicero Starting Friday, July 13Street construction will detour #73 Armitage buses off Armitage eastbound at Cicero for about 90 days, starting Friday, July 13. During this time, eastbound #73 buses will operate south from Armitage via Cicero to Grand, go southeast to Kostner and north back to Armitage. Westbound service will not be affected.

Extra Service for Mexican President's Visit Sunday, July 15Extra service will be provided on two 'L' lines and six bus lines for the visit of Mexican President Vicente Fox Sunday, July 15, to Harrison Park, 1824 S. Wood. (See attached press release for details.)

Maintenance Work Affects Blue Line Trains at California Sunday, July 15Maintenance work will require trains to use a single track while serving the California station on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15. The regular Sunday schedule will remain in effect.

Late Night Track Work Affects Red Line North of Sheridan July 16 - 19 Track work will require Red Line trains northbound from Sheridan to bypass stations at Wilson, Lawrence and Argyle from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. nightly, Monday, July 16, through early Thursday, July 19. Customers traveling north from these stations should take a southbound train to Sheridan and change to a northbound train. Customers on northbound trains intending to exit at these stations should ride north to Berwyn and change to a southbound train.

Overnight Track Work Affects Forest Park Branch of Blue Line July 16 - 21 A tie replacement project will require trains to use a single track while serving the Austin station on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday, July 16, through early Saturday, July 21.
