CTA Providing Extra Service to Soldier Field for Rolling Stones Concert

The Chicago Transit Authority will provide extra transit service to get customers to and from Soldier Field for the Rolling Stones concert Wednesday, October 11. Gates open at 5 p.m., the opening act begins at 7 p.m. and the main concert begins at approximately 9 p.m.

From 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., CTA will provide additional buses to Soldier Field on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express from State and Lake and on the #12 Roosevelt from State and Roosevelt. When the concert ends, #12 and #146 buses will depart Soldier Field every few minutes for one hour, operating the entire length of the routes.

CTA also will operate the #130 Grant Park Treasures route in both directions between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and the Metra LaSalle Street Station and Soldier Field from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and from Soldier Field to the rail stations for one hour after the concert.

In addition to the extra bus service, CTA will operate longer Red, Orange and Green Line trains for customers traveling to and from Soldier Field. The stations are at Roosevelt and State, a few blocks west of the stadium.
