The completion of a city lighting project on LaSalle Street will allow CTA to restore southbound service Friday, November 26, for buses operating on LaSalle between Wacker Drive and Adams Street. Southbound buses on the #135 Wilson/LaSalle Express, #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express and #156 LaSalle routes have been detoured to Clark since the project began August 10. Northbound buses were able to continue using LaSalle throughout this period.
Temporary bus stops that were established on Clark for LaSalle Street buses will be removed, and signs will be posted informing riders of the change.
The reopening of LaSalle in both directions between Wacker and Jackson will expedite the flow of traffic both on LaSalle and on Wacker, where LaSalle buses have been turning east to reach Clark Street. CTA appreciates the patience and understanding of its customers for the delays they may have experienced while their buses were being detoured.
