How does this affect my trip?
Longer trains will operate on the following rail lines:
 
Fri, Aug 27 - Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Red Lines
Blue Line: Longer trains operate 9:30pm to 12 midnight
Brown and Green Lines: Longer trains operate 10am to 11:30pm
Orange Line: Longer trains operate 9:30am to 11:30pm
• Purple Line: Longer trains operate 7:30pm to 11:30pm 
Red Line: Longer trains operate 9:30pm to 12 midnight

Sat, Aug 28 - Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Red Lines

Why is service being changed?
Extra capacity is provided for the convenience of customers attending the Tall Ships event at Navy Pier.

Boarding Change, Delays Between LaSalle and Grand

How does this affect my trip? 
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Jackson, Monroe, Washington, and Clark/Lake stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between LaSalle and Grand, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time. 

Why is service being changed?
We are performing maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the 69th station.

rains in both directions will operate on the same track between 79th and 63rd, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

How does this affect my trip?
#4 Cottage Grove: Northbound
buses will operate via Cottage Grove, 75th, Stony Island, and 79th, then resume their normal route on Cottage Grove. Southbound buses are not affected.

#29 State: Northbound
buses will operate via State to 83rd, Dan Ryan Expressway, and 71st, then resume their normal route on State. Southbound buses are not affected.

#75 74th/75th: Eastbound buses will operate via 79th and Cottage Grove, then resume their normal route on 75th. Westbound buses are not affected.

#79 79th: Westbound buses will operate via 79th, Cottage Grove, 87th, and State, then resume their normal route on 79th. Eastbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Marcus Garvey Parade.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Chicago Triathlon.
 
 
 
#8 Halsted Temporary Reroute

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound buses will operate via Halsted, Harrison, Jefferson, and Madison, then resume their normal route on Halsted.
 
Southbound buses will operate via Halsted, Madison, Desplaines, and Harrison, then resume their normal route on Halsted.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Taste of Greece Festival.

How does this affect my trip?
Southbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick and northbound #132 Goose Island Express buses will operate via Van Buren, Wacker, Adams, and Clinton.

Southbound #11 buses will operate on Clinton to Van Buren, then continue their normal route on Clinton.

Northbound #132 buses will operate on Clinton and Jackson, then resume their normal route on Canal.

 

Northbound #11 and southbound #132 buses are not affected.

  • #124: Additional service will operate between Navy Pier and Van Buren/Canal every 7.5 minutes from 9am to 11pm.

  • #29: Additional service will operate between Navy Pier and State/Roosevelt every 10 minutes from 9am to 11pm.

Eastbound buses will operate via 71st, Dorchester, 73rd, and Stony Island, then resume their normal route on 71st.

Eastbound buses will operate via Wilson and Marine Drive, ending their trips at Montrose/Marine Drive.

 

Westbound buses will begin their trips at Montrose/Marine Drive, then continue their normal route on Montrose.

Buses are rerouted due to the Kids Fleet Feet Sports Super Sprint Triathlon.

Southbound
#130 and #146 buses will operate via Columbus, Lake Shore Drive, 18th and Museum Campus Drive to McFetridge, then resume their normal route on Museum Campus Drive.

Northbound buses will operate via Museum Campus Drive, Waldron Drive, Lake Shore Drive, and Columbus, then resume their normal route on McFetridge.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Chicago Bears vs. Arizona Cardinals game at Soldier Field.
