Loop ‘L’ Service Temporary Suspension
How does this affect my trip?
Train service to Loop Elevated stations (Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Washington/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, H.W. Library, LaSalle/Van Buren, Quincy and Washington/Wells) will be temporarily suspended.
After Polk station, Pink Line trains will be rerouted to the Racine Blue Line station. Transfer to Blue Line subway trains for continuing service downtown. For Pink Line service to Ashland, Morgan and Clinton, consider local bus routes between the Pink or Blue lines and the Green Line, especially the #9/#X9 on Ashland, which provides a free connection between rail lines.
- Green Line trains will run between Harlem and Clinton and between Roosevelt and 63rd Street destinations, only.
- Orange Line trains will run between Midway and Roosevelt, only.
- Brown Line trains will run between Kimball and Merchandise Mart, only (consider Red Line as an alternative).
- Downtown Red and Blue line services will be unaffected.
Green and Orange Line shuttle buses (shown as S1 on map) will operate between Roosevelt and Clinton. Buses will make stops along State, Washington and Madison, and connect with continuing Green Line service to Harlem/Lake at Clinton.
Additionally, Brown Line shuttle buses (shown as S2 on map) will operate between Merchandise Mart and H.W. Library. Buses will make stops near Loop stations.
Why is service being changed?
Loop Elevated train service will be temporarily suspended as we perform track maintenance at the Tower 18 rail junction.

CDOT replacing portions of Lake Street Bridge interrupting Green and Pink Line service between Clinton and Clark/Lake stations
Green Line trains run in two sections:
- Green Line trains will make all stops between Harlem/Lake and Clinton stations with riders connecting to free bus substitutions between Clinton and Clark/Lake stations.
- Green Line trains will make all stops between Ashland/63rd or Cottage Grove and Loop stations with riders connecting to free bus substitutions between Clark/Lake and Clinton Stations. Trains will make all stops around the entire Loop, following the Orange Line direction and platforms.
Pink Line trains connect to Blue Line-Racine station for connecting service to downtown:
- Pink line trains will make all stops between 54th/Cermak and Polk stations and then connect to Racine Station where riders will transfer to Blue Line trains for continuing service downtown.
- Pink Line riders going to/from Ashland, Morgan, Clinton stations or West Loop transfer to #9/#X9 Ashland buses near either Polk or Racine stations or other north-south bus routes (free transfer when you tap).

Harlem (O’Hare branch) Station’s West Entrance Temporary Closure
How does this affect my trip?
The west entrance to the Harlem (O’Hare branch) Blue Line station on Higgins Avenue and the station’s bus terminal will temporarily close.
To enter/exit the station and make connections with #88 Higgins and #90 Harlem buses, customers may use the east entrance on Harlem Avenue. For details, see separate alert in Bus Routes below.
Why is service being changed?
The west entrance of the Harlem (O'Hare branch) station will be temporarily closed for station maintenance.

Clark/Lake Temporary Main Entrance Closure
How does this affect my trip?
The entrance to the Clark/Lake station at the former Thompson Center will temporarily close. To access Blue Line trains, enter/exit the station via the Wells/Lake (farecard only) auxiliary entrance or 203 N. LaSalle.
Use the 203 N. LaSalle entrance for accessible boarding/exiting of Blue Line trains.
Why is service being changed?
The Clark/Lake station’s main entrance will temporarily close to accommodate planned work as part of the redevelopment of the former Thompson Center.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Irving Park and Jefferson Park
How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Montrose station.
Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Irving Park and Jefferson Park, resulting in minor delays.
Allow extra travel time.
Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.
