How does this affect my trip?
Red Line

  • Fri, Jul 18 and Sat, Jul 19: Longer trains will operate from 95th/Dan Ryan and Howard until 1:30am.
  • Sun, Jul 20: Longer trains will operate from 95th/Dan Ryan and Howard, 5am to 1:30am next day.


Brown Line

  • Sat, Jul 19: Longer trains will operate from Kimball to the Loop, 10am to 1am next day
  • Sun, Jul 20: Longer trains will operate from Kimball to the Loop, 5am to 11:50pm.


Blue Line

  • Fri, Jul 18: Longer trains will operate from Forest Park until 11:30pm
  • Sat, Jul 19 and Sun, Jul 20: Longer trains will operate from O’Hare and Forest Park, 10:30am to 11pm.


Green Line

  • Fri, Jul 18: Longer trains will operate from Harlem, 6pm to 1:05am next day, and from 63rd St terminals, 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • Sat, Jul 19 and Sun, Jul 20: Longer trains will operate from Harlem, 11am to 1:05am next day, and from 63rd St terminals, 11am to 12:40am next day.


Pink Line

  • Fri, Jul 18: Longer trains will operate from 54th/Cermak from 9:30pm to 1:05am next day.
  • Sat, Jul 19 and Sun, Jul 20: Longer trains will operate from 54th/Cermak and the Loop ,11am to 1:05am. Trains will operate more frequently, every 12 minutes from 54th/Cermak between 9pm and 11:59pm on Saturday and between 6pm and 11:59pm on Sunday.

 
Important Note for Pitchfork Attendees:
During the festival, the Justine auxiliary entrances at the Ashland Green/Pink lines station, located one block east of the main entrance, will have additional entry lanes available, equipped with fareboxes. Use the Justine entrances to avoid the crowds entering/exiting the station's main entrance. Between 9pm and 11:59pm on Saturday and between 6pm and 11:59pm on Sunday, trains will run approximately every six minutes.

Why is service being changed?
Added service is being provided for the convenience of customers attending Pitchfork Music Festival, Phish Concert at Northerly Island and the Rock n' Roll Half Marathon.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Jackson and Racine

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the LaSalle, Clinton, and UIC-Halsted stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Jackson and Racine, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Service is affected due to IDOT construction work on the Peoria Street Bride and the Morgan Street Bridge.

UIC-Halsted Station Morgan Entrance/Exit Temporary Closure

How does this affect my trip?
The Morgan entrance to the UIC-Halsted will temporarily close.

Note: The Peoria entrance to UIC-Halsted is currently closed until further notice due to the reconstruction of the Peoria Street overpass.

To enter or exit UIC-Halsted station, use the Halsted entrance located 1/4-mile east of the Morgan entrance, at the east end of the platform.

For ADA-accessible access to UIC-Halsted, use the Halsted entrance/exit.

Why is service being changed?
The Morgan entrance to UIC-Halsted is being temporarily closed due to the closure of the Morgan Street overpass for reconstruction as part of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Circle Interchange Project.

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Loop-bound platform at the Armitage station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Sedgwick and Fullerton, resulting in minor delays.

Why is service being changed?
We are making structural improvements to remove slow zones and to improve rail service on the Brown Line as part of the Ravenswood Connector Rehabilitation Project, and performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Brown Line.

Bus Substitution Between Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT Stations

How does this affect my trip?
Shuttle buses replace rail service between Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT.

Trains operate between Harlem/Lake, Downtown and Roosevelt, and between 35th-Bronzeville-IIT, Ashland/63rd and Cottage Grove.

Rail-Shuttle Transfers: Free transfer between shuttle buses and rail service is only available at Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT, and requires the farecard used to pay your fare at the start of your trip.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Service is affected due to the construction of the new Cermak-McCormick Place station.

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound platform at the Grand and Chicago stations, and on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the Clark/Division station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Lake and North/Clybourn, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are making traction power improvements, performing station construction at Clark/Division, and performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

#6 Jackson Park Express: Board buses in both directions on State between 24th and Roosevelt. Buses will begin/end their trips at the Roosevelt (Red, Orange, Green lines) station. Use Red, Orange, or Green line trains to travel between Roosevelt station and Downtown.

#10 Museum of Science & Industry: Southbound buses will operate via Michigan, Ontario, Wells, Grand, Halsted, Roosevelt, State, 25th, and Stevenson Expressway (I-55), then resume their normal route on Lake Shore Drive. Northbound buses will operate via Lake Shore Drive, Stevenson Expressway (I-55), State, and Roosevelt. Use Red, Orange, or Green line trains to travel between Roosevelt station and Downtown. Buses will continue via Roosevelt, Halsted, Grand, Orleans, and Ohio, then resume their normal route on Michigan.
 
#J14 Jeffery Jump: Northbound buses will operate via Stevenson Expressway (I-55), State, and Roosevelt. Use Red, Green, or Orange line trains to travel between Roosevelt station and Downtown. Buses will continue via Roosevelt, Halsted, and Washington, ending their trips at Washington/Jefferson. Southbound buses will begin their trips at the Washington/Jefferson Terminal, operate via Washington, Canal, Randolph, Halsted, Roosevelt, State, 25th, and Stevenson Expressway (I-55), then resume their normal route on Lake Shore Drive.

Use Red Line trains to travel between the Grand Red Line subway station and Downtown. Northbound buses will begin their trips at Dearborn/Grand, operate via Dearborn and Ohio, then resume their normal route on State.

#146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express: Southbound buses will operate via Michigan, Ontario, Clark, Wacker, and Dearborn, ending their trips at Dearborn/Grand. Use Red Line trains to travel between the Grand subway station and Downtown. #146 buses will not enter the Museum Campus. #151 Sheridan: Southbound buses will operate via Michigan, Ontario, Clark, Wacker, and Dearborn, ending their trips at Dearborn/Grand. #65 Grand: Eastbound buses will operate via Grand, Orleans, Ohio, and McClurg, then resume their normal route on Illinois. Westbound buses will operate via Grand, McClurg, Ontario, and Wells, then resume their normal route on Grand.

#66 Chicago: Eastbound buses will operate via Fairbanks, Ohio, and McClurg, then resume their normal route on Illinois. Westbound buses will operate via Grand, McClurg, and Ontario, then resume their normal route on Fairbanks.

#124 Navy Pier: Westbound buses will operate via Grand, McClurg, Ontario, Wells, Grand, Halsted, Jackson, Canal, ending their trips at Canal/Jackson.
