Renovated California Station Reopened

How does this affect my trip?
The California station on the Blue Line reopened for service. The renovated station includes these improvements and features:

Station House Entry/Plaza:

  • Repainted elevated structure
  • Upgraded lighting, including new LED lighting on elevated structure
  • New concrete paving New bike racks

 
Station House:

  • Restored historic masonry walls and entrance canopy
  • Renewed interior wall and ceiling finishes
  • New granite flooring
  • New stainless steel Customer Assistant’s booth
  • Improved signage, wayfinding and other communications amenities

 
Platforms:

  • New wood deck with tactile edge
  • Rehabilitated historic canopies
  • New or rehabilitated historic railings
  • New lighting, windbreaks, benches and signage

Boarding Change, Delays Between Racine and Jackson

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the UIC-Halsted, Clinton, and LaSalle stations. 

Note: On Saturday and Sunday, some trips will begin/end at LaSalle station. Listen carefully to train announcements.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Racine and Jackson, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed? 
Service is affected due to IDOT construction on the Halsted Street Bridge as part of the Illinois Department of Transportation's Circle Interchange Project.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Harlem (Forest Park branch) and Austin

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Oak Park station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Harlem (Forest Park branch) and Austin, resulting in minor delays. 

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Belmont and Irving Park

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Loop-bound platform at the Southport, Paulina, and Addison stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Belmont and Irving Park, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely on the Brown Line.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Sedgwick and Fullerton

How does this affect my trip?
6:30am to 12 noon:
Board/exit all trains on the Loop-bound platform at the Armitage station. 

12 noon to 5:30pm: Board/exit all trains on the Kimball-bound platform at the Armitage station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Sedgwick and Fullerton, resulting in minor delays.
 
Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are making structural improvements to remove slow zones and improve rail service on the Brown Line as part of the Ravenswood Connector Rehabilitation Project.

Delays Between Garfield and King Drive, and between Garfield and Halsted

How does this affect my trip?
Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Garfield and King Drive, resulting in minor delays.

Trains between Garfield and Halsted will operate on their normal tracks, but may experience delays passing through the work area.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Green Line.

95th-bound Trains Bypass Granville Thru Bryn Mawr Stations

How does this affect my trip?
95th-bound trains will not stop at Granville, Thorndale, or Bryn Mawr stations.

For service from these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Loyola and transfer to a 95th-bound train.

For service to these stations, take a 95th-bound train to Berwyn and transfer to a Howard-bound train.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

Howard-bound Trains Bypass Bryn Mawr Thru Granville Stations

How does this affect my trip?
Howard-bound trains will not stop at Bryn Mawr, Thorndale, or Granville stations.

For service from these stations, take a 95th-bound train to Berwyn and transfer to a Howard-bound train.

For service to these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Loyola and transfer to a 95th-bound train.

Allow extra travel time.

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the Roosevelt, Harrison, Jackson, Monroe, and Lake stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cermak-Chinatown and Grand, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

Boarding Change, Delays Between Oakton-Skokie and Dempster-Skokie

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the discharge platform (normally used for exiting trains only) at the Dempster-Skokie station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Oakton-Skokie and Dempster-Skokie, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Yellow Line.

Why is service being changed?
This bus stop is temporarily eliminated due to water main work at LaSalle/Washington.

Southbound
buses will operate via Clark and Maple, then resume their normal route on State.

Northbound buses will operate via State, Elm, and Clark to Division, then continue their normal route on Clark.

Buses are rerouted due to the Division Street (Near North) Farmer's Market.

Northbound
buses will operate via Campbell, Roscoe, Western, and Addison, ending their trips at Addison/Rockwell.

Southbound buses will begin their trips at Addison/Rockwell, then continue their normal route on Addison.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the ROWtoberfest event.

How does this affect my trip?
The northbound #54B, and eastbound #67 and #79 bus stop located at Ford City Mall in front of Carson Pirie Scott will be relocated approximately 200 feet south in front of the Old Country Buffet restaurant.

Why is service being changed?
The bus stop is being temporarily relocated due to construction.

Buses will operate in both directions via North Avenue, Western, Division, Damen, and North Avenue.

How does this affect my trip?
Southbound buses will operate via Columbus, Lake Shore Drive, 18th, and Museum Campus Drive to McFetridge, then continue their normal route on Museum Campus Drive.

Northbound buses will operate via Museum Campus Drive, Waldron Drive, Lake Shore Drive, and Columbus, then resume their normal route on Roosevelt.

Allow extra time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Chicago Bears vs. Miami Dolphins football game.
