Purple Line ('L')

The Purple Line provides rapid transit train service between Linden (in Wilmette) and Howard (in Chicago) via Evanston. Additionally, during weekday rush-periods, express service continues to downtown Loop.

Hours of operation:

Shuttle service between Linden and Howard
Linden to Howard	4:50a-1:45a*	5:30a-2:15a	6:30a-1:45a
Howard to Linden	4:30a-1:20a*	5:05a-1:55a	6:05a-1:20a
*Fridays, shuttle service operates a half-hour later at night—last train leaves Howard at 1:55a and Linden at 2:15a.
Express service between Linden and Downtown (via Loop 'L')
Linden to Loop 'L'	5:20a-9:30a 2:30p-6:30p
Loop 'L' to Linden	6:00a-10:15a 3:15p-7:10p
