Southbound Brown Line Trains to Bypass Wellington and Diversey Stations

June 5, 2012
Nearby demolition work affecting daytime service on Wednesday and Thursday

A daytime reroute will be in effect for southbound (to the Loop) Brown Line trains operating between the Belmont and Fullerton stations from 10 a.m. each day until 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7, due to the demolition of a building adjacent to CTA tracks and structure.

During these times, southbound (to the Loop) Brown Line trains will be routed to operate on the southbound (to 95th/Dan Ryan) Red Line tracks and will be unable to make stops at the Wellington and Diversey stations.

Southbound (to the Loop) customers who wish to exit at Wellington or Diversey should travel to Fullerton and transfer to a northbound (to Kimball) Brown Line train.

Customers at the Wellington or Diversey stations who wish to travel southbound (to the Loop) should board a northbound (to Kimball) Brown Line train and transfer to a southbound (to the Loop) train at Belmont.

CTA operators will announce the route of each train. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
