Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and SaturdaySewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require Red Line trains to use a single track between Lake and Roosevelt from 11 p.m. Friday, September 27 until 5 a.m. Saturday, September 28. From 11 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday the work will affect trains serving stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
Buses Detoured for Weekend Construction on Kedzie at 19thConstruction work will close Kedzie between 19th and 21st from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, September 28 until 5 a.m. Monday, September 30, detouring #52 Kedzie/California buses in both directions via Cermak, Marshall, Sacramento and Ogden back to Kedzie.
Viaduct Work Closes Irving Park at Avondale Over WeekendReconstruction of a railway viaduct will close Irving Park from Avondale to the southbound Kennedy Expressway exit ramp from 6 a.m. Saturday, September 28 until 6 a.m. Monday, September 30. #80 Irving Park and Pace #254 buses will be detoured east off Irving Park via Avondale and Pulaski to Irving Park. Buses will operate west via Pulaski, Addison, Milwaukee and Kilpatrick to Irving Park.
China Day Parade Closes Cermak and Wentworth at Midday SaturdayThe China Day Parade will be held Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m. The line of march will be north on Wentworth from 24th Place to Cermak, west on Cermak to Princeton, south to 24th Place and east back to Wentworth. #21 Cermak, X21 Cermak Express and #44 Wallace/Racine buses will be detoured in both directions via Archer and Clark to Cermak.
Rail Crossing Work Closes 103rd at Maplewood September 30 ? October 4 Replacement of a railroad crossing will close 103rd between Maplewood and Talman from 8 a.m. Monday, September 30 until 6 p.m. Friday, October 4. #103 West 103rd buses will be detoured off 103rd in both directions via Western, 99th and Kedzie back to 103rd.
Road Construction Closes Lake Shore at 67th Starting Tuesday, October 1 Reconstruction of the roadway will close Lake Shore (Coast Guard) Drive between Marquette and 67th through May, 2003, beginning Tuesday, October 1. During this time #14 South Lake Shore Express buses will be detoured in both directions via Jeffery, 67th, Cornell and 57th to Lake Shore, and will make no stops north of 67th.
