Roots Festival Closes King Drive at 47th Friday Night through SaturdayThe Roots Festival will close King Drive between 46th and 48th from 6 p.m. Friday, July 19, until midnight Saturday, July 20. #3 King Drive buses will be detoured via 46th, Prairie and 48th to King in both directions. #28 Stony Island buses will operate via St. Lawrence, 46th and Prairie to 47th in both directions. #47 47th buses will end their trips via Indiana, 46th, and Prairie to 47th.
Addison Closed at Central Over Weekend Starting Late Friday, July 19Construction of an overhead walkway will close Addison west of Central from 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, through 5 a.m. Monday, July 22, and again next weekend. #152 Addison buses will be detoured in both directions via Central, Irving Park and Austin to Addison.
Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and Saturday Wall washing in the State Street subway will require all Red Line trains to use a single track between Clark/Division and Grand Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions while serving the stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
