Street Festival Closes Lincoln from Montrose to Lawrence July 12 - 14Lincoln Avenue will be closed between Montrose and Lawrence for the Old Town School Folk & Roots Festival from 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, through 8 p.m. Sunday, July 14. #11 Lincoln buses will be detoured from Lincoln via Montrose and Western back to Lincoln in both directions.
North Branch Bridge at Division/Elston Closed at Midday Friday, July 12The Division Street Bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River east of Elston will be closed for maintenance Friday, July 12, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. #70 Division buses will be detoured from Division in both directions via Halsted, Chicago, Milwaukee and Elston to Division.
Chicago Avenue Bridge Closed Friday Through Midday on SaturdayConstruction work will close the Chicago Avenue Bridge across the Chicago River from 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, until 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13. #66 Chicago buses will be detoured off Chicago in both directions via Larrabee, Crosby, Division and Halsted to Chicago.
Sewer Work Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and Saturday Overnight sewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require all Red Line trains to use a single track between Clark/Division and Grand Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this period, trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions while serving the stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
Chris Zorich Foundation Run Closes Dearborn at Polk Early SundayThe Chris Zorich Foundation 5k Run will close Dearborn between Polk and Harrison and Polk between State and Clark from 5 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 14. #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will start their trips north on Dearborn at Congress instead of at Polk or Harrison.
Classic Run Closes Harrison and Roosevelt in UIC Area Early Sunday The Chicago Distance Classic Run will close several streets in the UIC area for brief periods between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14. While Harrison is closed west of Halsted, #60 Blue Island/26th buses will use Taylor between Halsted and Racine. Westbound #12 Roosevelt buses will via operate via Halsted, Taylor and Racine back to Roosevelt.
