Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning

Southbound Red Line Service Temporarily Suspended Between Loyola and Wilson Late Friday Night through Sunday Afternoon - #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and #92 Foster Buses to Reroute
Southbound Red Line trains will temporarily operate on southbound Purple Line tracks from 11 p.m. Friday, June 8
to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 10. Southbound Red Line trains will be unable to stop at the Granville, Thorndale, Bryn Mawr, Berwyn, Argyle and Lawrence stations due to track maintenance work.

CTA will provide shuttle train service in both directions on the normal southbound Red Line tracks that will operate only between Wilson, Lawrence and Argyle stations. Customers traveling between these three stations will find the shuttle train to be the most convenient option.

Southbound customers who want to exit at Granville, Thorndale, Bryn Mawr, Berwyn, Argyle or Lawrence should transfer to a northbound train at Wilson and ride back to these stations. Southbound customers who want to board at these stations should board a northbound train, exit at Loyola and transfer to a southbound train.

Northbound Red Line service is not affected.

Berwyn Avenue will be closed from Broadway to Winthrop due to Red Line track maintenance from 9 p.m., Friday, June 8 until 6 a.m., Sunday, June 10. Eastbound #92 Foster buses will operate via Foster, Sheridan, Argyle, Broadway, Foster, then resume the regular route. Northbound #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will operate via Foster, Sheridan, Argyle, Broadway, Foster, then resume the regular route.

Customers are asked to allow extra travel time.

Dearborn and Polk Closed for Printers Row Book Fair
Dearborn Street will be closed between Polk Street and Harrison Street, and Polk Street will be closed between Clark Street and State Street from 10 a.m., Friday, June 8 until
5 a.m., Monday, June 11 for the Printers Row Book Fair. Several CTA bus routes will be rerouted for the event.

Southbound #22 Clark buses will operate via Clark, Congress, Dearborn, then resume the regular route northbound.

Southbound #36 Broadway buses will operate via State, Congress, Dearborn, then resume the regular route northbound.

Northbound #62 Archer buses will operate via State, Congress, Dearborn, then resume the regular route.

Northbound #129 West Loop/South Loop buses will operate via State, Congress, Dearborn, and then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Clark, Congress, and State, then resume the regular route.

Columbus Drive and Michigan Avenue Closed for Chicago Cares Serves-a-thon on Saturday
Columbus Drive will be closed from Balbo Street to Roosevelt Road, and Balbo Street will be closed from Michigan Avenue to Columbus Drive from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 9 for Chicago Cares Serves-a-thon. #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffery Express, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses will be rerouted in both directions.

Northbound #6 Jackson Park Express and #14 Jeffery Express buses will operate via Columbus, Roosevelt, Michigan, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Balbo, Michigan, Roosevelt, Columbus, then resume the regular route.

Northbound #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #130 Grant Park Treasures buses will operate via Columbus, Roosevelt, Michigan, Balbo, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Balbo, Michigan, Roosevelt, Columbus, then resume the regular route.

Chicago Avenue Closure Reroutes #66 Chicago
Chicago Avenue will be closed from Halsted to Larrabee for a helicopter lift from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. #66 Chicago buses will operate in both directions via Chicago, Halsted, Division, Crosby, Larrabee, Chicago and then resume the regular route.

Brown Line Single Track at Paulina Station on Sunday
A single track will be in effect at the Paulina station from 5 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 10. Customers at this station must board all trains on the southbound platform.

Single Tracks in Effect on Blue Line Through Next Week
A single track will be in effect between the Grand and Division stations from 1 a.m. until 4 a.m., Friday, June 8. Customers at the Grand, Chicago and Division stations must board all trains on the southbound side of the platform.

A single track will be in effect between the Racine and LaSalle stations from 11 p.m., Friday, June 8 until 8 a.m., Saturday, June 9. Customers at the UIC-Halsted, Clinton and LaSalle stations must board all trains on the southbound side of the platform.

A single track will be in effect between the LaSalle and Racine stations from 11 p.m., Saturday, June 9 until 8 a.m., Sunday, June 10. Customers at the LaSalle, Clinton and UIC-Halsted stations must board all trains on the northbound side of the platform.

A single track will be in effect between the Damen and Grand stations from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Monday, June 11, Tuesday, June 12, Wednesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 14. Customers at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations must board all trains on the northbound side of the platform.
