Slow Zone Work
Three Phase Blue Line Single Track in Effect

A three-phase single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Montrose stations from 11 p.m. Friday, September 21, until 8 a.m. Saturday, September 22.

From 11 p.m. Friday, September 21, until 2 a.m. Saturday, September 22, a single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Montrose stations. Customers at Montrose will board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

From 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday a single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Montrose stations. Customers at the Montrose and Jefferson Park stations must board and exit all trains on the northbound side of the platform.

From 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday a single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Montrose stations. Customers at Montrose will board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Blue Line Single Track In Effect
A three-phase single track will be in effect between the California and Addison stations on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line from 10 p.m. Saturday night, September 22 until 10 a.m. Sunday, September 23.

From 10 p.m. Saturday, September 22 until 2 a.m. Sunday, September 23, all customers at the Belmont and Addison stations must board on the southbound side of the platform.

From 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday, September 23, all customers at the Logan Square, Belmont and Addison stations must board on the southbound side platform.

From 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday, September 23, all customers at the Belmont and Addison stations must board on the southbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Red Line Trains to Temporarily Reroute to Elevated Tracks Next Week
While work is under way to eliminate slow zones, Red Line trains that normally operate through the subway between the Cermak/Chinatown station and the Fullerton station will reroute to the elevated tracks from 11 p.m. Friday, September 21 until 1 a.m. Monday, September 24 and again next week from 11 p.m. Friday, September 28 until 1 a.m. Monday, October 1.

Red Line trains will operate normally between the Howard and Fullerton stations and between the 95th and Cermak/Chinatown stations.

Customers can access Red Line trains at any of the elevated stations along Wabash or Lake streets.

Rerouted trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Cermak/Chinatown and Fullerton: Roosevelt/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin and Sedgwick. The Merchandise Mart station is available as an exit only (via stairway) on Saturday morning from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. and on Sunday morning from 12:50 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.

In addition to running Red Line trains on the elevated tracks, CTA will operate three bus shuttles to help customers make their normal connections.

Bus shuttle service will operate between the Clark/Division station and North/Clybourn station, stopping at the Sedgwick Brown Line station where customers may board Red Line trains; from the Grand/State station to the Chicago/Franklin Brown Line station where customers may board Red Line trains; and between Jackson/State, Harrison/State and Roosevelt/Wabash where customers may board Red Line trains.

Next Week
On four nights next week?Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27'southbound Red Line trains that normally operate through the subway between the Fullerton station and the Cermak/Chinatown station will be rerouted from the subway to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. each night until to 5 a.m. each morning.

Customers who wish to travel southbound from downtown stations can access southbound Red Line trains at any of the elevated stations along Lake and Wabash streets on the Inner Loop track.

Customers who wish to travel southbound from the Grand, Chicago, Clark/Division or North/Clybourn Red Line stations can board a northbound train and exit at Fullerton to board southbound Red Line trains on the southbound platform.

Southbound customers who wish to exit at the Grand, Chicago, Clark/Division or North/Clybourn stations should travel to the Roosevelt station and board a northbound Red Line train. Southbound customers are asked to allow extra travel time.

Southbound Red Line trains will operate normally between the Howard and Fullerton stations and between the Cermak/Chinatown and 95th Street stations. Northbound Red Line service is not affected.

Customers are asked to allow extra travel time.

Southbound Red Line Service Temporarily Suspended at Jarvis, Morse and Loyola Stations
Southbound Red Line trains will temporarily operate on southbound Purple Line tracks at the Jarvis, Morse and Loyola stations. Southbound Red Line trains will be unable to stop at the Jarvis, Morse and Loyola stations from 10 p.m. each night until 4:30 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, September 24 through Friday morning, September 28.

Southbound customers who want to exit at Jarvis, Morse or Loyola should board a northbound train at Granville and ride back to these stations. Southbound customers who want to board at these stations should board a northbound train, exit at Howard and board a southbound train.

CTA customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Northbound Red Line service is not affected.

Other Events Affecting Service
Red Line Trains Temporarily Reroute at Belmont
Southbound Red Line trains will operate on the Brown Line tracks at Belmont from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, September 21 and again during the same hours at the same location on Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28. Red Line customers should board on the Brown Line side of the platform at Belmont.

From 6 a.m. Saturday, September 22 until 10 p.m. Sunday, September 23, southbound Red Line customers must board trains on the Brown Line side of the platform.

Red Line Reroute in Effect
A reroute will be in effect between the Wilson and Addison stations from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, September 21 and again during the same hours in the same location beginning Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28.

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 the reroute also will be in effect in between the Wilson and Addison stations.

Each day during the reroute hours, southbound Red Line trains will operate on the Purple Line tracks. Southbound customers must board and exit trains at Sheridan on the Purple Line side of the platform.

CTA Provides Service for Bears Game
The #12 Roosevelt, #128 Soldier Field Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express are a convenient travel option for fans heading to the Bears game on Sunday, September 23 versus the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m.

#128 Soldier Field Express operates non-stop between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Soldier Field. Service will operate from 5:20 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. After the game, buses will leave Soldier Field every few minutes for one hour.

The fare for #128 buses is $1 for full-fare customers and 50 cents for reduced-fare customers. The exact cash fare is required to receive the special rate.

In addition, Red, Orange and Green line trains serve customers traveling to and from Soldier Field. The stations are located at Roosevelt and State, a few blocks west of the stadium.

#77 Belmont Reroutes Next Week
#77 Belmont buses will undergo reroutes from 9:15 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next morning on Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25. Buses will operate in both directions via Belmont, Sheffield, Addison, Halsted then return to Belmont and resume the regular route.
