Reroutes in Effect on Elevated Routes as Signal Work Resumes
The CTA continues slow zone prevention work this week on the Loop elevated tracks. Crews are replacing track and rail ties, and installing a new signal and train control system. The new systems will help improve the reliability of service by regulating train movement, speed and intervals at that junction.

The most intense work is scheduled on the Lake Street and Wabash Avenue tracks on weekends resulting in reroutes for Brown, Orange, Pink and Green Line trains, with some work scheduled on select weeknights.
