The Chicago Transit Authority is holding a job fair on Saturday, January 20 for applicants interested in joining the agency as part-time bus operators. The fair will be held in the lobby of CTA headquarters at 567 West Lake Street from9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
CTA is looking for individuals who speak in a clear and concise manner and have excellent customer service skills. Qualified applicants must be 21-years-old; have a valid Illinois driver's license and possess the math and comprehension skills needed to accurately read and interpret bus schedules.
Individuals interested in applying for the part-time bus operator positions should bring a resume and a copy of their court purposes driving abstract, which can be obtained from the Illinois Secretary of State's office.
Job fair attendees will have the opportunity to speak with CTA Human Resources personnel about the position and the benefits package available to part-time bus operators. Interested applicants also can apply online at the CTA web site at www.transitchicago.com
