CTA Providing Extra Service to Soldier Field for Bon Jovi Concert

The Chicago Transit Authority will provide extra transit service to get customers to and from Soldier Field for the Bon Jovi concert Friday, July 21. Gates open at 4:15 p.m., opening act begins at 5:45 p.m. and the main concert begins at 8 p.m.

Beginning at 4:15 p.m., CTA will provide additional buses on the #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express to Soldier Field and on the #12 Roosevelt between State Street and Soldier Field before the concert and for one hour after the concert ends.

CTA also will operate the #130 Grant Park Treasures route in both directions between the Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and the Metra LaSalle Street Station and Soldier Field from 3:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and for one hour after the concert ends. The #130 normally operates between Ogilvie and Union Station to the Museum Campus on weekends and holidays through Labor Day.

In addition to the extra bus service, CTA will operate longer Red, Orange and Green Line trains for customers traveling to and from Soldier Field. The stations are at Roosevelt and State, a few blocks west of the stadium.
