CTA is Currently Accepting Nominations for Citizens Advisory Board

July 15, 2010

As part of its ongoing commitment to providing safe, clean, on-time, courteous and efficient transit, the Chicago Transit Authority is seeking nominations to its Citizens Advisory Board (CAB).

Established by the Illinois General Assembly in 1983, the Citizens Advisory Board advises CTA on practices, services and policies related to meeting the transportation needs of its customers. Although, the committee is specifically designated as an “advisory committee”, many of its recommendations have been adopted by CTA.

The committee will meet quarterly at 567 W. Lake. CTA is seeking individuals who ride CTA and are committed to improving the transit system. Moreover, selected members should reflect the ethnic, cultural, and geographic diversity of all persons residing within the metropolitan region in which CTA provides service.

Nominations should be sent by either of the following:

Office of the Chairman
c/o Lori Cook
567 W. Lake St. - 5th Floor
Chicago, Illinois 60661
Fax: 1-312-681-5025
The deadline for nominations is July 30th
