CTA Board schedules special meeting to consider 2004 Proposed Budget

The Chicago Transit Board will convene a special meeting to consider and vote on the proposed 2004 CTA Budget. The Board deferred a vote on the budget at its monthly meeting on November 5, instead agreeing to allow additional time to consider options and receive public comment.

The deadline for public comment has been extended to Friday, November 7 at 5 p.m. Written comments can be submitted to the Chicago Transit Board addressed to Gregory Longhini, Assistant Secretary of the Board, Chicago Transit Authority, P.O. Box 3555, Chicago, IL 60654-0555; or by e-mail at [email protected]. Comments also may be provided by calling CTA customer service at 1-888-YOUR-CTA.

The proposed budget is available for public review on the CTA website at www.transitchicago.com and in person at the CTA's General Office at the Merchandise Mart, 350 N. Wells Street, 7th floor, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Regular and large print copies are available at this location. Audio copies also are available by request.
