Cynthia A. Panayotovich Appointed Vice Chairman of the Chicago Transit Board
Today the Chicago Transit Board appointed Terry Peterson as Chicago Transit Board Chairman. Mr. Peterson is the Vice President of Government Affairs at Rush University Medical Center where he is responsible for managing, evaluating and executing strategic initiatives related to the hospital on the local, state and federal levels.
“We welcome Terry to the CTA,” said CTA President Richard L. Rodriguez. “He has been a leader throughout his career. His extensive government experience will be a tremendous asset to CTA as we navigate the challenges the agency faces.”
Mr. Peterson succeeds former Chairman Carole L. Brown who stepped down in September after six years as Chairman.
The Chicago Transit Board also approved the appointment of Board member Cynthia A. Panayotovich as Vice Chairman of the Chicago Transit Board.
Ms. Panayotovich replaces Susan Leonis as Vice Chairman. Ms. Leonis was appointed to the Chicago Transit Board in 1997 and appointed Vice Chairman in 2004.
Ms. Panayotovich was appointed to the Chicago Transit Board in 2002.
