Construction work to repair grade crossings and street approaches at Kedzie and Sacramento will require Brown Line trains to operate on a single track this weekend between Western and Kimball stations. From 3 a.m. Saturday, July 14 until 3 a.m. Monday, July 16 CTA will operate shuttle train service in both directions between Western and Kimball Brown Line stations.
Regular Brown Line service will operate between the Western station and the Loop in both directions. Southbound customers riding Brown Line shuttle trains must board a regular service Brown Line train at Western to continue southbound. Northbound customers riding regular Brown Line service must board a shuttle train at Western to continue northbound.
The Kedzie Avenue entrance to Kedzie station and the Sacramento Avenue auxiliary entrance to Francisco station will also be unavailable to customers.
Customers are asked to allow extra travel time.
Normal Brown Line service will resume Monday, July 16 at 4 a.m.
