Additional Events Affecting CTA Service the Weekend of October 7 – 9

Parade Closes Streets in the Chinatown Neighborhood SaturdayWentworth will be closed between 25th Place and Cermak, and Cermak will be closed between Wentworth and Princeton for the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association ?Double Ten? Parade from noon until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 8.

#18 16th/18th buses will operate in both directions via 18th, Clark to Cermak, then resume the regular route.

#21 Cermak buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, Archer, Clark, back to Cermak, then resume the regular route.

Columbus Day Parade Closes Downtown Streets MondayColumbus will be closed between Roosevelt and Monroe, and Balbo will be closed between Michigan and Lake Shore Drive from 10 a.m. until 2:30 pm. Monday, October 10. #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #14 Jeffery Express, #26 South Shore Express, #X28 Stony Island Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses that ordinarily operate on Columbus between Roosevelt and Balbo will operate on Michigan between Roosevelt and Balbo for the duration of the parade.

Racine Closes for Street Reconstruction Beginning MondayRacine will be closed between Roosevelt and 14th Street from 9 a.m. Monday, October 10 through 3 p.m. Friday, November 18. #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate in both directions via Racine, 14th, Loomis, Harrison, back to Racine, then resume the regular route.
