New/Updated Changes in Bus Service
Temporary Closure of Van Buren between Wacker and Canal Detours Two Bus Routes
Currently in effect until 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, southbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick and northbound #132 Goose Island Express buses are being temporarily rerouted due to the closure of Van Buren Street between Wacker and Canal for filming of the “Transformers 3” movie.
Southbound #11 buses are traveling over the regular route along Van Buren to Wacker then are operating via Wacker, Adams, Clinton to Van Buren and then resuming the regular route. Northbound #11 buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
Northbound #132 Goose Island Express buses are operating over the regular route along Van Buren to Wacker then are traveling via Wacker, Adams, Clinton, Jackson to Canal and then resuming the regular route. Southbound #132 buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
Late Night Closures of the Michigan Avenue Bridge to Detour Five Bus Routes
The Michigan Avenue Bridge over the Chicago River will be closed to all traffic for two nights this week due to maintenance work. From 11 p.m. Tuesday, August 3 until 4 a.m. the following morning and then again during the same hours beginning Thursday night, August 5, the #3 King Drive, #66 Chicago (Owl Service), #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan buses will be detoured.
#3 King, #147 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and #151 Sheridan
Northbound #3, #147 and #151 buses will travel over their regular routes along Michigan to Wacker then will operate via Wacker, Dearborn, Ohio to Michigan and then resume their regular routes.
Southbound #3, #147 and #151 buses will operate over their regular routes along Michigan to Ontario then will travel via Ontario, Clark, Wacker to Michigan and then resume their regular routes.
#66 Chicago (Owl Service)
Eastbound #66 buses will travel over the regular route along Chicago to Fairbanks then will operate via Fairbanks, Columbus, South Water to Michigan and then resume the regular route. Westbound #66 buses will travel the reverse route.
#146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express
Northbound #146 buses will travel over the regular route along Michigan to Wacker then will operate via Wacker, Dearborn, Ohio to Michigan and then resume the regular route.
Southbound #146 buses will operate over the regular route along Michigan to Ontario then will travel via Ontario, Clark, Wacker to State and then resume the regular route.
