ADDENDUM: Events Affecting CTA Bus Service Beginning the Week of March 21

New/Updated Changes to Bus Service:

#10 Museum of Science & Industry Buses Hours Extended for Spring Break

Currently in effect, service hours for #10 Museum of Science & Industry buses have been extended until Sunday, April 24 to accommodate service during Spring Break. 
 
On Saturdays, Sundays and weekdays, #10 buses headed to the museum will operate approximately every 20 minutes from 8:55 a.m. until 4:35 p.m.  Buses leaving the museum will operate every 20 minutes from approximately 9:40 a.m. until 6:40 p.m.
 

Sewer Repair Work Detours Eastbound #74 Fullerton Buses This Week

Currently in effect until approximately 4 p.m. Friday, March 25, eastbound #74 Fullerton buses are being rerouted due to the closure of Fullerton at McVicker for sewer repair work.
 
Eastbound #74 buses are traveling over the regular route along Fullerton to Narragansett then operating via Narragansett, Grand, Austin to Fullerton and resuming the regular route. Westbound #74 buses are not affected and are traveling over the regular route.
 

Temporary Relocation of Bus Stop

Currently in effect until approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, the southbound mid-block stop on Chestnut between Mies Van der Rohe and Michigan Avenue has been temporarily relocated 200 feet west on Chestnut due to nearby crane work. This stop is served by southbound #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #125 Water Tower Express buses.
 

Daytime Trial Bridge Lifts Detour Southbound #22 Clark Buses on Tuesday

From 9:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, southbound #22 Clark buses will be detoured due to the closure of the Clark Street Bridge over the main branch of the Chicago River for trial bridge lifts.
 
Southbound #22 buses will operate over the regular route along Clark to Kinzie then will travel via Kinzie, LaSalle, Wacker to Clark and then resume the regular route. Northbound #22 buses are not affected and will travel over the regular route.
 

Tuesday Night Trial Bridge Lifts Detour #12 Roosevelt and #62 Archer Buses

From 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 until approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23,
#12 Roosevelt and #62 Archer (Owl Service) buses will be detoured due to the closure of the Roosevelt Road Bridge over the south branch of the Chicago River for trial bridge lifts.
 
Eastbound #12 and northbound #62 (Owl Service) buses will travel over their regular routes along Roosevelt to Canal then will operate via Canal, Harrison, Clark to Roosevelt and then resume their regular routes. Westbound #12 and southbound #62 buses will travel the reverse route.
 

Trial Bridge Lifts Temporarily Reroute #124 Navy Pier Buses on Wednesday

From 9 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, #124 Navy Pier buses will be rerouted due to the closure of the Columbus Drive Bridge over the main branch of the Chicago River for trial bridge lifts.
 
Southbound #124 buses will operate over the regular route along Grand to the lower level of Lake Shore Drive then will travel via the lower level of Lake Shore Drive to Lower Wacker Drive to the lower level of Columbus and then resume the regular route.
 
Northbound #124 buses will travel via the lower level of Columbus to Lower Wacker Drive then will operate via Lower Wacker Drive, to the lower level of Lake Shore Drive to Illinois and then resume the regular route.
 

Dearborn Street Bridge Lifts Detour Three Routes on Thursday

From 9:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will be rerouted due to the closure of the Dearborn Street Bridge over the main branch of the Chicago River for trial bridge lifts.
 
Northbound #22 and #36 buses will operate over their regular routes along Dearborn to Wacker then will travel via Wacker, LaSalle, Hubbard to Dearborn and then resume their regular routes. Southbound #22 and #36 buses are not affected and will travel over their regular routes.
 
Northbound #62 buses will travel over the regular route along Dearborn to Wacker then will operate via Wacker, LaSalle to Kinzie and then resume the regular route. Southbound #62 buses are not affected and will travel over the regular route.
 

Adams Street Bridge Lifts Detour Four Routes Thursday Night

From 8 p.m. until approximately midnight Thursday, March 24, #7 Harrison, #126 Jackson, #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle buses will be rerouted due to the closure of the Adams Street Bridge over the main branch of the Chicago River due to trial bridge lifts.
 
Westbound #7 and #126 buses and southbound #156 buses will operate over their regular routes along Adams to Wacker then will travel via Wacker, Van Buren, Canal to Adams and then resume their regular routes. Eastbound #7 and #126 buses and northbound #156 buses are not affected and will travel over their regular routes.
 
Southbound #151 buses will travel over the regular route along Adams to Wacker then will operate via Wacker, Van Buren, Jefferson, Jackson to Jackson/Canal before beginning northbound service. From Jackson/Canal, northbound #151 buses will travel east on Jackson over the regular route.
