ACTION REQUIRED – VISION AND FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT ENROLLMENT
NEW VISION PLAN – ALL EMPLOYEES MUST TAKE ACTION OR LOSE COVERAGE
CTA is pleased to provide you and your eligible dependents with a new vision benefit with MetLife, effective January 1, 2023. Through a participating private practice or participating retail location, you can enjoy:
- no or lower out-of-pocket costs;
- a free annual routine eye exam; and,
- up to $300 toward single vision eyeglasses or contact lenses (every 24 months).
Additional coverage for designer frames and specialty lens packages are available.
Rate and enrollment information is available in Oracle Self-Service and in this brochure 2023 ATU Locals 241 & 308 Trifold. The current $300 vision allowance through Cigna ends January 1, 2023. Enrollment through Oracle Self-Service is required to have vision coverage after January 1.
NEW HEALTHCARE FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT – SELECTION REQUIRED ANNUALLY
If you wish to participate in the new Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program, effective January 1, 2023, you must enroll as a new participant. To continue participation, re-enrollment in the program is required EVERY year during Open Enrollment. With an FSA you can –
- Save an average of 30% on a wide variety of eligible healthcare expenses by paying for them on a pre-tax basis.
- Access the full amount of your Healthcare FSA annual election amount on the first day of your plan year.
- Choose from several convenient, no-hassle payment and reimbursement options, including a convenient debit card associated with your account.
The minimum annual contribution for the Healthcare FSA account is $100. The maximum annual contribution is $3,050. In addition, if you re-enroll, up to $610 of any remaining balance from 2023 will be carried over into your 2024 account. Any account balance over $610 not used by the end of the calendar year will be forfeited. Enroll using oracle Self-Service. How to Make Your Elections
1. Log-In to Employee Self-Service
2. Select "Benefits"
3. Select "Next" in upper right corner
4. Select "Update Benefits", in upper right corner
5. Scroll down to "Vision" or "Health FSA"
6. Make your election
7. Select "Next"
8. Review coverage and select "Finish"
9. Log-Out of Employee Self-Service
SPECIAL ENROLLMENT ENDS DECEMBER 7, 2022.
Reminder: Two CTA employees cannot cover each other on their benefits. Each must carry their own separate coverage. (This applies to ALL CTA benefits).
