Four CTA bus lines that regularly use Wacker Drive between Wabash and Michigan will be detoured for about 48 hours, starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, while the street is closed so repairs can be made to the facade of a building fronting East Wacker.
Instead of operating on Wacker, buses will use Wacker Place (South Water) in both directions between Wabash and Michigan before returning to their regular routes.
Three of the four bus lines affected by the detour operate during rush periods only: #2 Hyde Park Express, #122 Illinois Center/North Western Express, and #123 Illinois Center/Union Express. Also affected will be the #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses, which operate daily through midnight.
