CTA actively competes for grants that can help with green initiatives and do more to protect the environment. Grants for green projects are in high demand (it's not uncommon for hundreds of municipal and transit agencies to apply for a grant). Because of the limited availability of these grants, not all applications result in an award.

The following items are a selection of sustainability-related grants for which CTA has recently applied:
