Viaduct and abutment demolition 08/09/2021

W. Catalpa Avenue between the CTA tracks and N. Winthrop Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic. One sidewalk within the work zone will remain open at all times, unless it is unsafe to do so. Residents south of W. Catalpa Avenue will need to access the alley via W. Balmoral Avenue. Residents north of W. Catalpa Avenue will need to access the alley via W. Bryn Mawr Avenue. Welcome Back! CTA Transit Ambassadors to Greet Returning Riders 06/11/2021

With the City’s entry into the final phase of Mayor Lightfoot’s “Open Chicago” initiative, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) today launched a new Transit Ambassador program – the latest component in the agency’s efforts to help welcome back transit riders as they resume their previous day-to-day activities.
