Full Description:
How does this affect my trip?
The Loop-bound platform elevator at the Chicago station will be temporarily out of service.
 
Entry/exiting from the Chicago Loop-bound platform will be available by stairs only.
 
For accessible boarding/exiting of Loop-bound Brown and Purple Line trains:
 
·         For service from Chicago, take a Kimball- or Linden-bound train to Sedgwick station and
          transfer to a Loop-bound train.
·         For service to Chicago, take a Loop-bound train to Merchandise Mart station and
          transfer to a Kimball- or Linden-bound train.
 
The elevator is estimated to return to service on Thursday, May 4, 2017 (date subject to change).
 
Allow extra travel time.
 
Why is service being changed?
We are performing critical maintenance on the elevator at Chicago station to ensure continued safe, accessible service.
