This route will be discontinued.
The #148 Clarendon/Michigan Express will be rerouted and extended north to Marine/Foster, operating in both directions via Clarendon, Lawrence, and Marine Drive, to provide additional service over the north end of the former #144 route.
Alternate service is available on the #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #148 Clarendon/Michigan Express, Red Line, and Brown Line. (Routes in bold will receive improved service frequencies.)

Why is service being changed?
Service is being changed to use existing resources to meet growing ridership needs and add bus and train service on high-demand routes across the entire CTA network as part of the Plan to Reduce Crowding.
