How does this affect my trip?
The #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick will be divided into two routes:
- the #11 Lincoln, operating between Howard/McCormick and the Western Brown Line station via Lincoln
- the new #37 Sedgwick, operating between the Fullerton Red/Purple/Brown lines station and the Clinton Blue Line station, replacing the former #11 service south of Fullerton
Service on the #11 will be discontinued between the Western Brown Line station and the Fullerton Red/Purple/Brown lines station.
Weekend service between the Fullerton Red/Purple/Brown lines station and Clark/North via Lincoln and Clark will also be discontinued.
#11 buses will operate from approximately 6am to 7:30pm on weekdays, 7:20am to 7:30pm on Saturdays, and 7:20am to 7pm on Sundays/Holidays. #37 buses will operate from approximately 6am to 7:30pm on weekdays only.
Alternate service is available in the affected area on the Brown Line, Red Line, #9 Ashland, #49 Western, #50 Damen*, #74 Fullerton, #76 Diversey, #77 Belmont, #78 Montrose, #80 Irving Park, #82 Kimball/Homan, and #152 Addison. (Routes in bold will receive improved service frequencies. Route marked with an asterisk * has extended service hours.)
For more information on the service additions and changes, visit the Plan to Reduce Crowding page.
Why is service being changed?
Service is being changed to use existing resources to meet growing ridership needs and add bus and train service on high-demand routes across the entire CTA network as part of the Plan to Reduce Crowding.
