CTA to Hold Open Houses for Red and Purple Line Vision Study

11/18/2009

Customers Invited to Share Ideas for Future Improvements

The Chicago Transit Authority is undertaking a study of the Red Line North and Purple Line – from the Addison Red Line station to Linden on the Purple Line – that will provide guidance for doing major rehabilitation work in the future, pending funding availability. As part of this Vision Study, the public is invited to provide input and feedback regarding these stations at a series of Open Houses.

There will be no formal presentation. Guiding tours of the open house exhibits will be provided and staff will be available to answer questions. The open houses are designed to gather public input on existing conditions and issues facing the Red Line North and Purple Line. The open houses also will provide information on the Vision Study process and long-term timeline.

The four open houses will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates:
