CTA Statutory Service Area
From March 11, 1998, and thereafter, all CTA employees who are not members of labor organizations that have collective bargaining agreements with the Authority shall have their residence with the metropolitan area of Cook County as defined in 70 ILCS 3605/2 ("residency area"). All persons applying for a position that is subjected to CTA service area,must reside in the CTA service area within six months of moving into the position."
