The closure of the Adams Street Bridge by the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) will affect seven CTA bus routes downtown beginning on January 25, 2016. We advise you to check individual bus schedules that may be impacted by the service changes and plan ahead.

Beginning on January 25, 2016 at 4 a.m. or the start of bus service, the Adams Street Bridge closure will affect the following seven CTA bus routes downtown:
The closure will require reroutes in the immediate surrounding area and will also require the temporary relocation, removal and/or addition of bus stops along the affected routes. In general, most affected routes will be detoured from Adams to Van Buren via Wacker. Customers boarding and alighting buses near Union Station will also be affected.
The closure of Adams Street Bridge is expected to last approximately 13 months.
